Phyllis Marjorie Harrison was born January 30, 1930 in Vinton, IA, daughter of Edward and Mary Vogeler Lutz. She received her education in Vinton where she graduated in 1948. On March 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to Dean Harrison at the Presbyterian Church in Vinton. Following a short time in Vinton and Cedar Rapids they made their home on a farm in rural Garrison, Iowa. Dean and Phyllis farmed all their married life and she remained on the farm following Dean’s death on December 11, 2008. For the past two years she has made her home at the Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart where her death came on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the age of 82 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dysart. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, one brother Marion Lutz and a son-in-law Bob Johnson. She is survived by her children Diana (Don) Sparks of Dysart,  Barbara Johnson of Raymond, IA, Peggy (Jeff) Anderson of Solon, IA, Patrick (Bonnie) Harrison of Garrison, Julie (Marshall) Mixdorf of Dunkerton, IA and Jane Harrison of Cedar Rapids, IA 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Merlin Lutz and  Robert Lutz both of Vinton, IA,  Rev. Clarence Lutz of Lookout Mountain, GA, and 2 sisters, Alberta LeVine of Germantown, WI and Dorothy Schulte of Norway, IA
