Jo Ann Hunemuller was born on April 3, 1922, in Williston, North Dakota, the daughter of Harry and Nanny (Flowers) Nelson.  She grew up in Williston until the age of 8, when her family moved to Iowa.  Jo had various jobs in the area but her main job was taking care of her family.  Jo loved crocheting, embroidering, fishing, and camping in Lansing, Iowa.  She also loved her pets and spending time with her family.  Jo died at the age of 90 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Alden D. Patchin and Les Hunemuller; three brothers; and two sisters.  Jo is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Mike) Hamlin of Dysart; two granddaughters, Terri (Nick) Donlea of Jesup and Tammi (Chad) Hartley of Jesup; six great granddaughters, Emma, Haley, Abbey, Taylor, Chloe, and Claire; a great grandson, Cameron; and two sisters.  Jo was loved by everyone who knew her.  Please direct memorials to Jo’s family.
