Eleanor M. Pardoe was born September 23, 1937 in Iowa City, Iowa; the daughter of Theodore and Luella (Wheeler) Wright. She was united in marriage to James Pardoe on April 9, 1968 in Waterloo. Eleanor worked at home raising her children. She enjoyed taking walks with her dog, gardening and animals. Eleanor was a great cook and made the best cinnamon rolls.

Eleanor passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 following a lengthy illness at Allen Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. She is preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers: Robert, Irvin, Edwin, Junior, Duane and Richard Wright and a sister Donna Bjorheim. Eleanor is survived by her husband James of Waterloo; 3 sons: Roger Berger of Waterloo, Scott (Sara) Pardoe of Forest City and Todd Pardoe of Waukee; a daughter Judy Berger; 6 grandchildren: Shelby, Christopher, Zachary and Morgan Pardoe, Alyssa Berger and Elizabeth White; 2 great-grandchildren: Mason and Mariah White; a brother Melvin Wright of Lamont and a sister Genevieve Crawford of Denver. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
